Why the FUCK is Bush refusing aide from other countries?

Fuck him, I want his ass out of the office. How do we go about changing the laws to vote his sorry ass OUT?

What’s your source? I just read an article that said he is accepting offers of foreign assistance.

As stated elsewhere, the reason we’re not openly inviting foreign aid is that our own efforts are so screwed up right now that having other parties come in would just add to the chaos. We’re trying to get things in order before we bring in more parties to it…if it can’t be done in an orderly manner, then it will probably just add to the problem.

This is also why organizations like the red cross have stopped accepting goods, and will only take money…most of what is going on now will not be helped by trying to schlep more goods in the direction of the evactuations, whereas money can help to grease the wheels and buy transport, buildings, and other such things.

Too many chefs in one kitchen cause more harm than good. Untill we have better understaning of what exactly the situation is and what exactly is needed where it is hard to just take assistance. I am sure that once comes to a bit clearer image of things that other aid will be taken.

Copy and pasting this thing so I don’t have to get myself all worked up typing this all again. *mew* This was from another friend’s post about why the national guard was keeping supplies out of one of the cities. I don’t know if my following comment is the reason but I wouldn’t be surprised. One thing I didn’t add… the situations are so bad, that national guard has been ordered to KOS if they sense any threat. Sigh. Drat it. Got worked up anyway. KOS– civilians. Just because rioting and craziness has gotten that bad inside the cities.

Well there’s another factor that’s odd these days. There’s a lot of ppl looting and firing upon ppl just for things like jewelry and money.

Chances are… you drop supplies– you’re just supplying ppl with guns. Chances are– you push supplies in via bus or transport or helicopter. What’s going on here is fustrating and saddening. Someone posted that they had ppl snipering refugees/victims from rooftops and having ppl on ground level loot the corpses and have the take all valuables. Radio said it was so bad the police were evaculating because they were too scared to leave and police were having to abandon rescue operations JUST to stop looting. THAT’S sad and dumb and hurts so badly– I tried to stop thinking about it.

Reading the last few LJ entries I can’t help but think there must be:
Ppl out there that have probably raided and killed supply caravan guards and taken all the food and horded it. Taken all that food and charged starving and dehydrated families $10 bucks a pop for water bottles, a thing of meat for $20. *shakes head*

I’m just making myself upset. Sorry. Drat it. I know it shouldn’t be hard but I hear how bad it is. About how much killing, shooting, raiding, looting, starving, dehydrating, etc is going on… and I’m… man…

Several countries had news releases regarding it, but it’s not important, now.

He’s not accepting aide from some countries that would be much appreciated, however, like Venezuala’s offer of *free* gasoline.
