GODDAMNED LIES

September 19th, 2003

NOTHING pisses me off more than someone lying about me, then someone who heard those lies, passing it along as if it were truth.

Not the fault of the passer-on, but still something they’re responsible for.

I was apparently accused of not doing someone ELSE’S job a few months ago by the RC of our region. It’s not Kerry’s fault, she was given FALSE information concerning the situation.

March, 2003, I put in an application for a caern raising, since they required RST approval at the time. This was done as CST.

It got approved, and the RST, and his ARST Arkansas showed up to the game, and I was politely informed that I would NOT be running my game that night, but that the regional staff would be presiding over it, since it was an RST approved event.

I was unhappy with this, and discussed it, and accepted it.

I was left out of the game, pretty much - the main scenes were in one room, and I ran a slightly off-site scene for a handful of characters that we either low in rank, or new players. There was ONE proxy from out of town in that group, 2 in town proxies, and the rest were players present for the game. We had a LARGE number of proxies that were in the main scene.

At the end of the game, I asked if the ARST wanted me to send the proxy information, in which case I’d need all the scene details, or if she wanted to do it. She said she would do it, and took ALL the proxy information but the 3 I needed for MY scene.

Nothing was ever sent. Not a drop. I was told later by the RST, Logan, that I HAD been sent the information, and that she had sent out, multiple times, the information to ALL the proxies, and that he didn’t know why they were “bitching about it”.

I then find out today that Kerry, the RC, had been apparently told by someone that I had all the proxy information, and was, apparently, refusing to send the information out.

I NEVER HAD THIS INFORMATION, OTHER THAN THE EMAIL ADDRESSES OF THE PROXIED PLAYERS. I EVEN SENT THEM A NOTICE that the ARST would send them the information, as I had not been the presiding ST of the game.

I was NOT the presiding ST of the game, and EVERYONE at that game can confirm that, except maybe those who sent the false information to the RC.

Can someone tell me when it became standard practice to NOT talk to someone who’s being blamed for something? Shouldn’t MY side have been consulted before I was threatened (yep, I have IRC logs of a conversation between Kerry and one of the players) with a complaint?

I don’t blame Kerry for the lie, but I hope she rectifies this situation for her unwilling part in it.
