war, life, etc

March 26th, 2003

It’s been a while since I made a post that meant anything.

And I’m still not going to do it for a while.

But, I decided to post a little bit on what I think is going on in the world:

Evolution and nature. The world thinks we’re too big, so it makes us aggressive.

Oil and money. Man kind as a whole puts a VERY high tag on money and making/earning/taking it. Oil is a good way to do that - we need it for industrialization to continue.

Power and corruption. Men (and women) realize, at some point, that leaving bits of information out of a statement can save feelings - instead of hurting them. At some point, the “target” of the statements get used to nice things being said. Eventually, the “target” is weakened emotionally. Eventually - the men (and women) who started leaving bits out forget to put any real information in anything. We get missing information, misinformation, and downright lies.

War and how this is all related. That should be fairly obvious about now. Evil men are still evil - no matter how many evil men they destroy. Don’t get me wrong - I am NOT saying this War we’re going through is wrong - Hussein is (was?) a madman, and shouldn’t be in charge of his party OR his nation. I just don’t think Bush was the right man for the job.

On another note - if you’re going to protest the War, don’t protest the soldiers - they ARE people.. and don’t protest the 2000 Election, either - it makes your cause all the more meaningless.

Violent anti-war protesting is a bit of an oxymoron, too. I don’t like having to hear about my friend getting beat upon by a stick 1 block from his home in downtown San Francisco.

Anyways - the world’s going to crap, and thanks to Satellite, Cable, and the Internet, we’ve all got a front-row seat to the madness.

Maybe sanity will start to creep in again.. maybe.

Front row seat? Ha! Just another reason I DON’T have a TV.
Books are so much better anyway.
