Obviously as I play mage and I’ve read cyberpunk. So is this the latest craze, to come up with different concepts to use as an online picture or icon for people to view yourself as? Any nature oriented ones anywhere?

It’s actually a sign that I’ve been a computer geek for far longer than I’ve been a gaming geek..

Avatar, in geek-speak, is something that represents you in an online, graphical fashion.

In the “dark ages”, we used smileys.

No, not the graphical, yellow things they have now-a-days, but stuff like d:)

And in mage-speak, that’d be called an “icon”. Which is, of course, different from avatar…really. Honest.

Several ways.. one would be to download a screen-capture utility from download.com or winfiles.com (same place, really)
